- Guest Artists receive a 200,000 JPY stipend, round-trip travel expenses, waiver of studio fees, and up to 210,000 JPY for material and firing costs. Production support, exhibition opportunities, open studios, and workshops are also provided. Accommodation is available but incurs a fee (20,300-26,400 JPY/month) for all participants.

About this opportunity
The Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park (SCCP) Artist-in-Residence Program 2027 invites ceramists and artists over 20 years old for a stay of 2 months to less than 1 year, starting April 2027. Guest artists receive a stipend, travel, and material/firing cost support, with all participants benefiting from studio access, production support, and exhibition opportunities.
