About this opportunity
Sixi Museum is offering an artist residency in Nanjing, China, for its 2027 program. Open to artists of all disciplines worldwide, the residency covers flights, accommodation, insurance, and provides a material allowance. Applicants must respond to one of two themes: "Flux and Imprints: Contemporary Echoes of Migration History" or "Folds of Text: Cross-Media Intertextuality and Intervention".
Who can apply
- Artists from all disciplines and cultural backgrounds; there are no nationality restrictions.
- Must be at least 18 years old and capable of completing the residency.
- Must have sufficient spoken and written Chinese Mandarin or English.
- Application must address one of the two themes with a compelling rationale, residency plan, and capability to carry out the project.
- Required documents: CV with profile photo, artist portfolio, and residency proposal (motivation, vision, preliminary plan, concept, materials and equipment needed, preferred residency period, and apartment or studio preference).
