About this opportunity
Luis De Jesus Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Part-Time Preparator - Installer to manage the physical handling, installation, and packing of artwork. This permanent position requires a commitment of two days per week plus exhibition installation time.
Who can apply
- Requires a skilled and experienced, detail-oriented art gallery Preparator and Installer to manage the physical handling, installation, packing and shipment of artwork.
- Mastery of hand and power tools and wall-mounting hardware.
- Knowledge and experience of archival materials and processes, and specialized packing (crating, wrapping).
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong eye for symmetry, balance, scale, and clean lines.
- Ability to troubleshoot structural or technical challenges quickly during high-pressure installation windows.
