About this opportunity
Mophradat, Kunstencentrum BUDA, and NEXT Festival are offering a three-week residency in October/November 2027 for a performing artist from the Arab world. The residency aims to provide conditions for new works to emerge and be presented at the NEXT Festival. The selected artist will receive 10,000 euros, travel and visa costs, per diem, and a contribution to production costs.
Who can apply
- Applicants must have developed and presented previous works.
- Must be working on a new and original project.
- Must be working with contemporary forms of performance.
- Proposals for concerts are not eligible.
- Unconventional projects dealing with experimental forms and/or concerned with progressive discourses are encouraged.
- Applicants must have projects in the final development phase by September 2027 and have confirmed co-producers and/or a financing plan.
