About this opportunity
The Glenna Luschei Prize for African Poetry awards $1,000 annually to a book of poetry by an African poet published in the previous year. Eligibility extends to writers born in Africa, nationals or residents of African countries, or those with African parents. Publishers can submit eligible poetry collections.
Who can apply
- Writers who were born in Africa, who are nationals or residents of an African country, or whose parents are African are eligible.
- Publishers may submit four copies (or unbound proofs) of a poetry collection of at least 48 pages published in 2025 by October 1.
- Publishers based outside of the United States may submit PDF galleys.
