About this opportunity
The Who Walks Here artistic residency in Modena, Italy, invites three artists to investigate the city's Artisan Village through a transfeminist urban lens. Running for 28 days in May 2027, the residency focuses on how public space is shaped by patriarchal logics and seeks to reimagine the neighborhood's social fabric. Artists will conduct situated research, engage with local communities, and develop site-specific work, with support from territorial curators and funding through Culture Moves Europe.
Who can apply
- Open to artists and cultural professionals residing in a Creative Europe country other than Italy.
- Open to individual artists or collectives of no more than 3 artists.
- Applications especially welcomed from people with disabilities, racialised people, queer artists, and artist-mothers.
