About this opportunity

The Marx Memorial Library is seeking a part-time Capital Works Manager to lead the delivery of the 'Opening Doors' Heritage Fund project, which aims to reconfigure and open the ground floor of its historic site. The role involves managing project timelines, budgets, stakeholder coordination, and compliance reporting for a nationally significant cultural heritage initiative.

Who can apply

Experience managing capital projects through delivery and completion.
Experience working with architects, contractors and professional design teams.
Experience of programme management, risk management and budget monitoring.
Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Experience preparing reports for funders, boards or senior stakeholders.
Experience working on projects supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund or similar funders.
Understanding of procurement and contract management processes.
