About this opportunity
The LSO Conservatoire Scholarships offer financial aid up to £16,000 per academic year and mentorship to exceptional postgraduate instrumentalists facing financial barriers. Scholars receive coaching, side-by-side performance opportunities with the London Symphony Orchestra, and career advice. Applications for the 2027/28 academic year will open in November 2026, with a deadline in March 2027.
Who can apply
- Postgraduate instrumentalists of any age or nationality, facing financial barriers (family income < £58,500 per annum), who have been awarded a scholarship place for a postgraduate course at one of the leading 10 conservatoires in the world, focused on classical study of an orchestral instrument, and have previously studied at undergraduate level at a UK conservatoire or university.
