About this opportunity
Stiftung Historische Museen Hamburg is seeking a full-time, permanent Documentalist (m/f/d) for the imminently established German Maritime Museum in Hamburg. Responsibilities include formal and content-based indexing of collections in MuseumPlus, labeling and packaging of collection items, and data curation in collaboration with researchers. The role also involves guiding students and volunteers, contributing to collection database development, managing incoming collections, and assisting in object valuation.
Who can apply
- abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium im Bereich des Dokumentationswesens, der Museologie, oder vergleichbares Hochschulstudium bzw.
- Berufserfahrung mit vergleichbaren Kenntnissen.
- Berufserfahrung mit guten Kenntnissen im Sammlungsmanagement und Vertrautheit mit in einem Museumalltag notwendigen Abläufen.
- Vertiefte Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Standard-Software und Sammlungsdatenbank-Systemen (wie MuseumPlus), Verständnis der Funktionsweise Objektkenntnisse, um Objekte formal und inhaltlich zu erschließen.
- Strukturierte Arbeitsweise und Organisationsfähigkeit.
