About this opportunity

The Martin Read Foundation's 2027 Award Scheme supports young composers aged 14–17 with a bursary for composition lessons and travel to events. Selected applicants will write a 3–4 minute piece for solo classical guitar, premiered by performer Mark Eden at the Annual Festival in April 2025. The program includes mentorship, workshops, and performance opportunities.
