About this opportunity
The KB National Library is seeking a Conservator of Modern Special Editions with expertise in 19th, 20th, and 21st-century special editions and artist books. This role involves collection management, research, public engagement, and contributing to the accessibility of Dutch heritage. The position is available from April 2027, with a deadline for applications on October 29, 2026.
Who can apply
- Master's degree in humanities (e.g., book studies, history, art history, or literature), at least 7 years of relevant work experience in a museum, archive, or library, proficiency in Dutch, English, and French, strong affinity with special prints, artist's books, bibliophily, typography, illustration techniques, book design, and book materiality.
- Demonstrable writing and presentation skills for a broad audience.
- Preferably brings their own network.
- Service-oriented, strong communication skills, and careful in user interactions.
