About this opportunity

The Texas Institute of Letters offers three annual $1,000 awards for outstanding short-form literary works in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. Eligible entries must be written in English or Spanish and either authored by writers with at least five years of residency in Texas or centered on Texas themes. Submissions require a $15 entry fee and are due January 8, 2027.
