About this opportunity
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville School of Design seeks a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer in Industrial Design to help launch its new BFA program starting August 1, 2027. The role involves teaching three courses per semester across foundational and advanced studios, with emphasis on user-centered design, prototyping, sustainability, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Who can apply
- Candidates must have a terminal degree (MFA, MID, or equivalent) in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated skill in product development, concept generation, fabrication, and prototyping is required.
- Teaching experience at the college level or comparable instructional experience through professional mentorship is also required.
