About this opportunity
Wigan Council is seeking a freelance Digital Artist for a £10,000 commission to create a new immersive digital artwork for Wigan Museum's reimagined main gallery. This project, part of 'Our Northern Soul,' will introduce Wigan's identity by drawing on the museum's collection and community themes. The artwork will be accessioned into the museum's permanent collection and installed as a long-term exhibit.
Who can apply
- Applicant must be over 18, have a connection to Wigan Borough (living or working locally), be a freelance artist with evidence of similar commissions, and be able to work from their own premises.
- Must hold relevant insurances and certification if working with young people/vulnerable adults.
