About this opportunity
Creative Australia is inviting applications for the 2027 Visiting International Publishers Program, an intensive week-long event in Sydney from May 17-21, 2027. This program offers international publishers, scouts, and literary agents an opportunity to engage with the Australian literary market, participate in business meetings, and network with local professionals. Financial support for travel is provided, with varying amounts based on region.
Who can apply
- Applicants must work with titles in the areas of fiction, narrative non-fiction, poetry or children’s books (i.e. creative writing).
- Publishers primarily involved with educational or reference books, self-help books, cookbooks, and/or other non-literary titles will not be considered.
- Self-publishers, printers and distributors are not eligible for the program.
- VIPs alumni are eligible to apply again five years after their last attendance.
