About this opportunity
The Gibbes Museum of Art's 1858 Prize for Contemporary Southern Art is an annual award for artists contributing to a new understanding of Southern art. Artists from specific Southern US states, working in any media, are eligible to apply for a monetary award and an exhibition at the museum. The prize celebrates artistic achievement and offers significant exposure through a year-long display of the winner's work.
