About this opportunity
The Shibi Art Project 2026 is an artist-in-residence program in Satsuma, Kagoshima, Japan, inviting artists to engage with the region's history and community over approximately 45 days. The program aims to foster a deeper connection with local culture and rediscover the area's charm through artistic practice and resident interaction. Financial support includes ¥280,000 for production and living expenses, plus up to ¥90,000 for travel.
